I participated in Maker Faire Seoul 2018 as a Maker exhibiting "Parkinson's Disease Diagnosis Apparatus." With this exhibition, my two-yearlong project with Parkinson's Disease was put to an end. After my software development, I teamed up with Seoyeon Yang from SNU during Deep Learning Camp 2018 to embed my diagnosis model on Raspberry Pi for a real-time diagnosis.
2018.09.14~19 in Dublin, Ireland
Kyuhee Jo and I participated in the 30th European Contest for Young Scientists held as Korean representatives and received the third core prize with €3,500. Our project was called "Building a Robust Diagnosis Model for Parkinson's Disease." Our aim was to revise the language difference of the dataset, utilizing both big and small scale datasets. To do so, we developed two machine learning algorithms and gradually increased the accuracy of the Turkish classifier from 50% to 97%.
2018.07.01~27 in Jeju, Korea
I participated in Deep Learning Camp organized by TensorFlow Korea as the youngest researcher. I collaborated with Anoop Toffy from IIIT Bangalore whom I met here in the camp to develop the "Conditional WaveGAN." Thanks to Google's generosity, we utilized four of Nvidia's Tesla V100 accelerators and six Cloud TPUs to conduct various hyperparameter tunings to stabilize the GAN training. Our research result is on GitHub and arXiv.

Since 2011, I have been rapping by the name Acheketa. I am currently a captain of my school's hip-hop crew, The C.I.T.Y. and have performed in various settings: my school, charity concerts, freestyle sessions, and Hongdae stages. So far, I have uploaded three Korean tracks on SoundCloud. Although rapping has been a hobby throughout these years, hip-hop music shaped my identity and allowed me to balance between work and relaxation.
